SM City Davao and SM Lanang have continued to be a force for good especially on helping to make child-friendly learning spaces in preparation for schoolyear 2024 – 2025.
In support to this year’s Brigada Eskwela, a total of 52 mall employees and agency personnel volunteered to pursue repairs, cleanup, and repainting at Tugbok National High School and Don Julian Rodriguez Elementary School.
SM City Davao also donated 1,360 pieces of tiles to Tugbok National High School while SM Lanang turned over three eight-foot sized magnetic whiteboards to Don Julian Rodriguez Elementary School.
“Beyond on making this as our corporate social responsibility, it is our advocacy to help and support the school and seize the opportunity to live on the Bayanihan spirit through joining the Brigada Eskwela program,” said Jezer M. Gutierrez, assistant mall manager of SM City Davao.
The Brigada Eskwela program of the Department of Education targets to spur volunteerism and strengthen partnership with different sectors to make the schools across the country ready in time for opening of classes.
