GCash enables cashless payment options for leading Mindanao-based pharmacy Amesco Drug

‘Buy now, Pay later’, credit options now available in over 42 Amesco Drug branches

The Philippines’ leading finance super app, GCash, has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Amesco Drug, one of the largest homegrown pharmacy chains in Mindanao to provide convenient digital payment solutions.

Through the partnership, GCash as a payment option will now be available across all 42 Amesco Drug branches, bringing its accessible financial services to more Filipinos, and offering a convenient and secure way to manage everyday payments and healthcare expenses. Amesco Drug branches are located in Davao del Sur, Davao del Norte, South Cotabato, and Surigao del Sur.

Amesco Drug customers will also enjoy a more flexible way to pay for their medicine and other essentials using GCash, with options for “Buy now, Pay later” through the GGives and GCredit features on the app. With the introduction of GGives and GCredit, customers who have immediate needs will be able to purchase medicines in case of emergencies.

“We hope that through this partnership, with more accessible payment options through GCash and GCredit, we can achieve our mission to serve health and happiness to more people in Mindanao,” said Andrew Mark Uyboco, president of Amesco Drug.

By partnering with Amesco Drug, GCash reinforces its commitment to financial inclusion by offering a simple, secure, and convenient platform for users to pay for their daily needs while strengthening its presence in Mindanao.

“We are making it easier for Filipinos to access the healthcare products and services that they need, while also providing them with more flexible financial options. This partnership is anchored in our goal of providing finance for all, through accessible and convenient payment and lending solutions. With services like GGives and GCredit, customers can better manage their finances and enhance their purchasing power,” said GCash Assistant Vice President and Enterprise Sales Head Kim Pineda.

As it continues to be a pioneer of open and inclusive finance, GCash firmly demonstrates its mission to bring financial services closer to the underserved communities across the country, providing them with the tools they need to thrive in today’s increasingly digital world while helping every Filipino improve their quality of life and financial well-being.
